Laser Varicose Veins – EVLA
Endovenous laser ablation — walk-in, walk-out treatment for varicose veins.
Endovenous Laser Ablation, or EVLA, is a minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins caused by poorly functioning superficial veins. Under ultrasound guidance, a fine laser fibre is introduced into the affected vein and controlled energy is used to close it. Blood is then naturally redirected through healthier veins. EVLA usually requires only small needle punctures and allows an early return to routine activity. A Doppler ultrasound assessment is performed to confirm the diagnosis and determine whether the patient is suitable for the procedure.
