Laser Pilonidal Sinus Surgery
Minimally invasive laser treatment for pilonidal sinus.
A pilonidal sinus is an infected tract that usually develops in the cleft between the buttocks and may cause pain, swelling, discharge or recurrent abscesses. Laser-assisted treatment can be used in selected cases to clean and close the sinus tract through small openings, potentially allowing quicker recovery and easier wound care. The choice of treatment depends on the number and extent of tracts, active infection and whether the condition has recurred. More extensive disease may require an alternative surgical approach.
