Laser Fissure / Fistula Surgery

Anal fissures are painful tears near the anal opening, while anal fistulas are abnormal tracts that commonly develop following an infection or abscess. Selected cases may be treated using laser-assisted techniques designed to address the affected tissue or close the fistula tract while limiting injury to surrounding structures. Because fissures and fistulas differ considerably in their cause and complexity, treatment is individualised after examination and, when required, imaging. Conventional surgery may be more appropriate in certain cases.
