Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
Keyhole removal of the uterus with faster recovery.
Laparoscopic hysterectomy is a minimally invasive procedure to remove the uterus through small abdominal incisions, sometimes with part of the operation completed through the vaginal route. It may be advised for fibroids, persistent abnormal uterine bleeding, adenomyosis, endometriosis, uterine prolapse or selected precancerous and cancerous conditions. The ovaries are not automatically removed and this decision is made separately. Suitability depends on the diagnosis, uterine size, previous surgeries, overall health and future reproductive considerations.
