Kidney / Ureteric Stone Treatment – PCNL, URSL

PCNL and URSL are minimally invasive procedures used to treat stones in the urinary system. Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy, or PCNL, is generally used for larger or more complex kidney stones and is performed through a small passage created in the back. Ureterorenoscopy with Lithotripsy, or URSL, treats stones in the ureter using an endoscope passed through the natural urinary passage. The most suitable procedure depends on the stone’s size, location, hardness and the patient’s overall condition.
