Joint Pain, Muscle Pain & Backache
Mechanical, inflammatory, nutritional or systemic — the pattern assessed, investigations selective, referral when needed.
Joint, muscle and back pain may arise from overuse, injury, nutritional deficiencies, arthritis, inflammation, infection, nerve compression or systemic disease.
We assess the pattern and duration of pain, morning stiffness, swelling, weakness, fever and other associated symptoms to distinguish common mechanical problems from inflammatory or medical conditions. Investigations and imaging are advised selectively based on the clinical findings.
Treatment may include short-term symptom relief, correction of contributing deficiencies, activity and posture guidance, physiotherapy referral and management of the underlying medical condition. Patients with suspected inflammatory arthritis, significant neurological findings or structural disease are referred for appropriate specialist care.
