Diagnostic & Therapeutic Endoscopy

Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to examine the food pipe, stomach and the first part of the small intestine. It helps identify conditions such as ulcers, inflammation, bleeding, narrowing, growths and causes of persistent acidity, pain, vomiting or difficulty swallowing. During the same procedure, the doctor may take a biopsy, control bleeding, remove a foreign body, dilate a narrowing or perform other therapeutic interventions when required.
