Abnormal Uterine Bleeding – AUB
Heavy, irregular, absent or post-menopausal bleeding — cause identified, anaemia corrected, gynaecology coordinated.
Abnormal uterine bleeding includes periods that are unusually heavy, prolonged, frequent, irregular or absent, as well as bleeding between periods or after menopause.
Evaluation may involve checking for anaemia, pregnancy-related causes, hormonal or thyroid disorders, PCOS/PMOS, medication effects, bleeding disorders, fibroids and other uterine or endometrial conditions. The required investigations and treatment depend on the patient’s age, bleeding pattern, associated symptoms and reproductive plans.
Our focus is on identifying the underlying cause, correcting associated iron deficiency or anaemia, stabilising significant bleeding and coordinating gynaecological evaluation whenever imaging, procedures or specialist intervention are needed.
